My family adventure trip to Kullu Manali

Indian Adventure

Traveled on 12th June 2001 by Padamanaman (Banglore)

Kullu ManaliAs the schools closed and summer vacations started my both the kids Ramaya-7 years old and Arjun 11years were after me to go for a long holiday trip to any of the hill station. Obviously nothing could be better then mighty Himalayas residing in the north of India. My wife Lakshmi was insisted for some near by trial but finally the children got the victory over their mother and in couple of days we were in land of flowers and mountains i.e Kulu Manali Valley. While our trial to the valley, we sojourn to a park known as Raison - an adventure park full of its natural splendor and green vegetation. For a peaceful family holiday, I found Raison to be an ideal holiday destination.

This Adventure Park is set amidst the valley of Kullu and Manali in a town of Raison. The park is well equipped with excellent cottage accommodation with all modern facilities. It is blessed with such a picturesque vista that surely you would have the feeling of a New World and new fantasy. The sight of Snowcapped Mountains from one of the room windows was just breathtaking, at times little Ramaya insisted on, to go on those Himalayan snowy peaks.

The park also offers some recreational and sport facilities, I along with my kids could indulge in many activities like playing football, basketball and boating.
Once you land on this paradise then leave your kids in the laps of mother nature, don't create a panic if you are not able to trace your kid, you can surely trace them indulging in one of those activities for which they were always restricted. When the efforts are vain, close your eyes, relax and enjoy yourself. There was just too much happening around full time, that no time to indulge in boredom. The sufficient staff at the park was a well-trained in handling different sport, who were continuously on their toes to assist the youngsters to start their feet on a roller skate.

You can also participate in the croquet sport if you know it well. But never mind, also if you don't know you can make your own rules and start up the game. I along with my wife and some other families indulge in this most thrilling activity striking the wooden ball with full blow.
Every nook and corner had yet another surprise. For kids who want to live out the reality of a commando movie or gangsters and good guys there is enough to build a fantasy world!

Other adventure activities that blow away your mind is the sliding down the Tarzan Swing almost 30-feet high, where not only kids but the elders could not help screaming. Then there is Burma Bridge, to which we make a quick gateway, with the safety rope attached, there is no hazard, but if the wind is hard it could swing the rope creating much of discomfort.

Evenings are quite pleasant, the whole environ become absolutely cam with thousands of stars twinkling in the sky, The lure doesn't ends here, there is lot waiting for you in store, Kids enjoyed the camp bonfire with mouth watering delicacies over barbecue. The Pahari songs, sung by the local people were just marvelous, although meanings were not clear but had the power to shake your sole. The soft rhythmical dance performed in a row by the Pahari girls and boys was a captivating sight, my wife also participated in a group dance, as she herself is a Bharatnatyam Dancer, so it was not difficult for her to grasp the steps.

I took back with me many wonderful memories in the valley and of course the hope that I would come back to relive them someday.
