Day
01 - YOUR DESTINATION / DELHI
Flight to Delhi. After arrival in Delhi and transfer to Hotel Crowne Plaza
Surya.
Day 02 - DELHI / AGRA
After acclimatization, full day combined sightseeing of Delhi with visit to
Jami Masjid and drive past Govt.bldgs to Qutub Minar in New Delhi.This
vibrant capital of India also happens to be one of the oldest cities of the
world dating as far back as 1250 BC. Delhi is today a city of contrasts and
gateway to the North of the country. In the late afternoon drive to Agra.
Overnight in Hotel Clarks Shiraz.
Day 03 - AGRA / OVERNITE TRAIN TO UMARIA
In the morning first visit the symbol of India, the Taj Mahal followed by
visit to the grand Agra Fort which is also a World heritage monument like
the Taj, which are built on the banks of the river Yamuna. Agra was the seat
of three Mughal generations, whose power and fame remain unparalleled.
Thereafter leave by overnight train at 1550 hrs. for Umaria.
Day 04 - UMARIA / BANDHAVGARH
After arriving at Umaria at 0616 hrs., drive to one of the most popular
tiger reserves of India to Bandhavgarh. In the afternoon you will undertake
a Jeep-ride in the Jungle and follow the trails to the tiger. Overnite in
Hotel Tiger Den or similar.
Day 05 - BANDHAVGARH / KANHA ( 240 km/ 6-7 hrs.)
An early morning visit to the Jungles again to see the animals and birds
beginning their new day and hunting for new prey. Thereafter drive to Kanha,
which is also equally well-known for it's Wildlife reserve. Overnite in
Hotel Tiger Tuli Resort or similar.
Day 06 - KANHA
In the morning undertake an elephant joy-ride through the unique landscape
of Kanha and let your eyes hunt for their prey in the form of different four
legged animals and birds too. In the afternoon enjoy a Jeep safari through
the wild terrain of Kanha again.

07 - KANHA / KAWARDHA
In the forenoon drive to Kawardha. After checking into the palace, you will
have your first exposure of tribal life of the Bastars. One of the Kawardha
Royals will accompany you on your first trip to the surrounding tribal
villages, which are still untouched from bustling life of a city.
Overnite in Hotel Kawardha Palace.
Day 08 - KAWARDHA / KANKER (251 km / approx 7 hrs.)
Today you drive through the tribal country to Kanker. The countryside will
make you feel like being in paradise itself. The virgin and untouched tribal
landscape is very fascinating indeed. Explore the verdant surroundings of
the palace. Overnite in Hotel Kanker Palace.
Day 09 - KANKER / JAGDALPUR (120 km/3 hrs.)
The drive takes you today to the very heartland of the Bastar tribes.
Transfer to a very simple accommodation, in Hotel Rainbow or similar. PM
Visit the anthropological museums and the surroundings of Jagdalpur.
Day 10 - JAGDALPUR
Today you have a full day to explore the different tribal villages, which
comprises almost 3/4th of the Bastar population, each with their own
indigenous culture of spirits, deities, dialects, customs and food habits.
Day 11 - JAGDALPUR
Today you shall get an opportunity to get to know some of the traditional
arts and crafts of Bastar, which comprise from wood-craft to terracotta,
tribal weaving to Bhatti-chitra (traditional Wall paintings), stone-carving
to Bell metal craft, Iron craft and the Bamboo crafts. These crafts reflect
the subtle creativity, inventive genius and the imagination of the local
craftsmen, who have tried to retain the original purity of perception and
core-concepts governing the life styles of their ethos.
Day 12 - JAGDALPUR
After familiarizing yourself with the tribal culture, it's now time to
explore the Jungles of the tribal belt too! Today you shall therefore spend
the day walking through the greens and verdant landscape of the tribal
countryside and savour the typical flora and fauna of the region enroute.
Day 13 - JAGDALPUR / RAIPUR (220 km/5 hours).
You
drive to Raipur today and leave the core tribal areas behind you. Enroute
take a diversion (23 km off the main road) to Rajim, which is also known as
the Varanasi of Chattisgarh. Overnite in simple accommodation, Hotel
Celebrations or similar.
Day 14 - RAIPUR / DELHI
Transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi (IC-7470 0900/1135 hrs. After
arrival in Delhi, transfer to Hotel Ashok Country Resort or similar. Rest of
the day free. In the late evening transfer to the airport for flight back
home.
Day 15 - DELHI /YOUR DESTINATION.
